These recent email campaigns from gravityMail clients demonstrate three different
applications: quick updates, sale promotions, and staff and client memos.
Designer Exposure
needed to send out a quick update "alert" every time
new stock was added to their online store.
The layout needed to be consistent so subscribers know instantly
that it is a New Stock Update.
And it needed to be brief: a single paragraph highlights the main points,
deep linking to specific products, with a link to the home page and unsubscribe
links in their usual places.
Van Dykes Restorers needed
to make space in their warehouse for new stock so an online sales promotion
was the fastest way to spread the word to their customers.
In this email, subscribers were able to add items directly to their shopping
cart. gravityMail's clickthrough tracking tracks every link within the
emails with a unique url - the reports have shown that email recipients
are more likely to buy an item if they can buy directly through the email.
The layout of this email was designed for immediate impact in
most email clients such as Outlook:
the main point was to highlight the "Save up to 55%" sale.
A secondary point introduced the new Discussion Forum.
If subscribers were interested, scrolling down allowed easy scanning
of the products available on sale.
The design of this email also established a format for future sales promotions.
